Zoom invitation: Exclusive reports from Ukraine and Georgia
Facing Russian Imperialism
Protests in Georgia against repressive laws, the ongoing war in Ukraine – filia’s grantee partners and many allies are working under extreme conditions. But what exactly is the impact of Russian imperialism? How is it currently influencing the work of activists in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus?
Activists report
We will receive first-hand live reports from activists Nukri Tabidze from Georgia and Oksana Osadchuk from Ukraine, moderated by filia’s program director Hanna Grześkiewicz. They will share how they continue their efforts despite security risks and political pressure. For example, under the recently enacted Foreign Agents Law modelled on the Russian version, which jeopardises the work of NGOs.
Exclusive reports from Ukraine and Georgia
This online event offers a direct insight into feminist activism on the ground – with assessments that are otherwise difficult to obtain so early and directly. All interested parties are welcome to participate, even without prior knowledge. There will of course be time for questions and discussion. Join us for an evening that strengthens and connects!
The Zoom event will be held in English.
