"Give women space and they can do wonders." P. Vinnarasi Mallika, project manager DROPPS, India
One example of every day life of women today:
In 2010 you can find this poster in the streets of Grosny, capital of Chechnya:
Left woman: I am a Chechen women and proud of it. I respect the traditions of our nation.
Right woman: And who are you? Your image is damaging our Chechen society.
This Poster tells its own tale.

What motivated you to become an endowment donor at filia?
Dr. Vera Bloemer: I was stimulated by the statement on the website, "Those who support women change the world". I found this idea wonderful. I know from my own experience that in many situations women approach matters differently and more efficiently than men. What I liked about filia was the diversity of the projects and the international nature, and I was pleased to see how carefully filia looks at whom and what it supports, always with an eye to the change approach.
What does women’s perspective on social change mean for you? And what should this change bring about?
Dr. Vera Bloemer: Every woman should be able to decide on her own life independently and in a spirit of self-determination, with the same opportunities, the same freedoms without any disadvantaging, whether in training, working life, the family or a life partnership. Women who experience disadvantaging need promoting so that they can have the same chances to shape their lives.
